The entrance to the Department of Magic Crumpets was locked. Luna stared at the door eagerly. Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked past and asked her what she was doing.
"I need some crumpets" Luna replied. "They're for my father. He's trying to catch a drizzle-headed shaky pig."
Hermione answered, "I think only Dumbledore can open the door to the Department of Magic Crumpets, let's go get him!"
The four of them travelled to the dark forest, where they heard the headmaster casually bellowing at the various creatures the lived there.

"Excuse me professor, could you please let us into the Department of Magic Crumpets?" Luna asked.
Dumbledore turned and stared at her. "What need have you of my crumpets young lady?" he questioned.
"My father needs some; he's trying to catch a drizzle-headed shaky pig" she answered.
"Those are only a legend!" Dumbledore resumed his bellowing.
"But he's so close!" Luna replied back. "Please, could you spare just three or four?"
"You're hungry yourself!" Hermione added quickly. Luna smiled, thankful for her classmate's cleverness.
"Oh, that's right!" Dumbledore said.
"And you were just about to show us the Department of Magic Crumpets!" Hermione added, continuing the ruse.
"Yes, yes, now I remember. Come this way students." Dumbledore said, leading them back to the Department of Magic Crumpets.
With nothing better to do, Harry and Ron were happy for the adventure. Before long they arrived at the same door they found Luna staring at earlier, and Dumbledore unlocked it for them. As they entered, the aroma of freshly baked crumpets filled their nostrils.

Shelves lined the room, filled with every kind of crumpet imaginable. Before the unpredictable wizard could see her, Luna swiped several crumpets into her bag. They continued to follow Dumbledore to the back of the room, where the found Mr. Filch kneading crumpet dough next to a boiling cauldron.
"Hello Argus!" Dumbledore greeted the caretaker. "Crumpets for us all please."
"Sure, grab any you like from the shelves" Mr. Filch replied.
Dumbledore cleared his throat "Fresh crumpets, if you please."
Mr. Filch stopped his kneading and glared at the headmaster. The glaring went on silently for minutes before he spoke flatly "Fine."

He resumed the kneading and the students shuffled awkwardly. Ron stifled a sneeze, and Harry and Hermione glanced over at him discouragingly. Mr. Filch glanced up and sneered at the boy before tossing the crumpets in the cauldron.
"Boiled crumpets?" Ron whispered, and again Harry and Hermione turned to him in disbelief.
Finally, the crumpets were finished cooking. Mr. Filch dumped them on a plate and shoved it into Dumbledore's hands. "Ere you go." he said bitterly.
Pleased, Dumbledore led the children back into the hallway and locked the door. "Enjoy your snack" he said to the students. "And never forget who runs the show around here" he added smugly. He left to go wander the school, and the students began munching on their crumpets.
"I'd rather never go in there again" Ron commented.

"Nor I" replied Harry and Hermione in unison.
Luna gave a small cheer before running off to send the crumpets to her father, leaving the other three with an entire afternoon free for adventures.
